Latest Randy Arozarena Update Doesn't Bode Well for the Dodgers' Chances to Land Him

One name that has been circling around the Dodgers this offseason is Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena. He reportedly is available via trade this offseason, and the Dodgers have been linked to him.

Landing Arozarena would be massive for the Dodgers, and he would excite the Dodger Stadium faithful each time out. He is exactly what the team needs from an outfielder, but the latest update on him doesn't bode well for the chances of him being moved,

MLB Insider Bob Nightengale of USA Today told Doug McKain of dodgersnation.com that he doesn't expect Arozarena to be moved this offseason. You can see the entire interview with Nightengale right here!

“I don’t think Arozarena will be moved, unless they get overwhelmed.”

With this news, it seems that he will be staying in Tampa Bay, despite other reports.

Arozarena hit .254 with 23 home runs and 80 runs batted in last season. He has hit at least 20 home runs in every full year that he has been a Major League player, but the postseason is where he shines the brightest.

The outfielder has a career 1.104 OPS in 33 postseason games, slashing .336/.414/.690 with 11 home runs and 17 RBIs. The Dodgers need someone like him to help them get over their issues come playoff time.
